Tracy Baker is a mother, a military spouse and a physical therapist. She grew up in southern California, but has lived in many different locations throughout her lifetime. During her career working in healthcare and being affiliated with the military, she has witnessed loss and seen the need for maintaining connections with loved ones. She hopes this book will help young readers to ease the anxiety of separation or loss. Tracy currently lives in northern Virginia with her husband.
