Brian MacLearn is the author of Our Heart 2010, Remember Me 2012, Against the Current 2014, Isolation 2018, and most recently, Purpose 2022. His first three novels won recognition and received awards at Reader's Favorite. The author used Iowa as a backdrop for four of his novels, weaving interesting characters with highly charged emotional complexities. Every novel will leave you guessing until the end, and each one has a final twist. Purpose is imaginative in how it brings together characters who appear to have no connection to one another other than having at one time met a man named Matthew, who told them they had a purpose. MacLearn isn't genre specific as "Our Heart" is an adult drama, "Remember Me" is science fiction/drama, "Against the Current" is a psychological thriller, "Isolation" is a paranormal suspense story, and "Purpose" is the broadest of all as it touches multiple genres. The author also had poetry published and writes song lyrics, several of which have won awards. He is a lifelong resident of Iowa. He is currently working on Sensitive and another project.
