A lover of great coffee,  Bob Ayres especially enjoys sharing a cup with his wife, Kathy. They have been married since 1977 and have five grown children and ten precious grandchildren!

Dr. Ayres is the author of Deaf Diaspora: The Third Wave of Deaf Ministry which has been an influential work in the field of Deaf Ministry. He and Kathy are the founders of "Deaf Teen Quest" (since 2000) which is part of Youth for Christ USA as a national ministry model.

Dr. Ayres is on staff with Servants of Christ Anglican Church in Gainesville, FL and ordained in the Anglican Church of North America. Following seminary, his career included teaching, community organization, and non-profit leadership. He leads a Leadership Consultant group and works part-time as an adjunct professor.

The Ayres live in Gainesville, FL but are often back in Louisville, KY where they lived for over twenty years. Most of Bob's adult life has been invested in leading ministry and non-profit human services. Kathy is an Occupational Therapist and has spent most of her career serving in the public school system. They are both fluent in American Sign Language.
