Author Info

William Tymann, or "Bill" as he is commonly referred to, was raised in Hicksville, Long Island and then attended Fordham University, where he studied social work. He eventually moved further east to raise his family in Manorville, Long Island. He spent the beginning of his career at Little Flower Children's Services, and then took the helm of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Nassau County. He subsequently merged his agency with Suffolk County to form Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island, where he significantly grew the agency, providing more services to at-risk youth. After 34 years with BBBS LI, Bill retired and moved further east to the North Fork of Long Island with his wife of 50 years. He has always enjoyed writing throughout his life and has found more time to pursue it in his retirement, which he fits in-between spending time with his two granddaughters as "Pop Pop." Bill has dedicated his entire professional career to helping children in-need and is continuing that quest by bringing you this book, which he penned nearly 20 years ago.
