Brittany Blake-Franklin is a life-long resident of Western
Massachusetts, a middle school English teacher, one proud wife of an amazing
husband, and mom to two adorably insane rescue dogs (plus other critters with
more to come). She currently resides in the tiny, historic town of Granville,
Massachusetts nestled at the foothills of the Berkshires.
Brittany attended Westfield State University for her
undergraduate degree in English with a concentration in Education and continued
her studies at Western New England University. She holds a Master of Arts for
English Teachers and has put it to good use as a middle school teacher in
Springfield, Massachusetts. She credits her many students with keeping life
exciting and inspiring her with their honesty, bravery, and hard-work. She
hopes that by publishing her book series, her students will be inspired to pursue
their own dreams and never take no for a final answer when it comes to achieving
your goals.
Her first series of books, The Adventures of Pixie Luna,
follows the story of one of her rescue dogs, Pixie and features some real and
some imagined adventures. The first book is called Pixie Luna Gets Adopted
and a portion of the proceeds from the book go to animal shelters to help all
residents find loving forever homes.
Brittany would like to thank her husband, Daniel, and the
Blake and Franklin families for being supportive of all her dreams and plans.
