After attending Yale Medical School, Dr. Perlman returned to NYC. After interning at NYU/ Bellevue Medical Center and doing his residency at the Mount Sinai Medical Center he remained there as a member of the faculty until becoming the Director, Dept. of Psychiatry at Saint Joseph’s Medical Center, Yonkers, NY. He served as president, New York State Psychiatric Association, chair, NYS Mental Health Service Council, and member, NY State Hospital Review and Planning Council.
