Dr. Arlene Santos McCain is a Filipino-Catholic board-certified family physician who is committed to partnering with individuals as they discern personal motivations for healthy change and passionately supports their inspired progress towards a thriving life. Through integrative health coaching, she empowers and honors individuals as the ultimate experts in their healing journeys. Through the use of holistic therapies, she holds space for spiritual transformation. As a result of her dedication to these diverse modalities, she creates a safe and sacred space in which health and healing can emerge.

Dr. McCain earned a Bachelor of Science in biology and minor in theology from Georgetown University. She graduated from  Eastern Virginia Medical School and served as chief resident at EVMS-Portsmouth Family Medicine. She later earned graduate certification in Integrative Health and Wellbeing Coaching through the Center for Spirituality & Healing at the University of Minnesota, and became one of the first nationally board certified health and wellness coaches (NBC-HWC) in the nation.

As an outgrowth of her spiritual and religious calling, she founded McCain Whole Health Care, the first direct primary care practice in the central Shenandoah Valley of Virginia,
