About the Author

Dr. Meisel wrote a technical book on computer pattern recognition as a professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at USC. He managed the computer science division of a defense company for a decade, founded and ran a venture-capital-backed company that developed computer speech recognition, and published an industry newsletter. Currently, Meisel addresses trends in areas of AI as an independent industry analyst and conference organizer and speaker. Dr. Meisel’s deep experience is reflected in this book’s insights and innovative approaches to issues.
