Wendy M. Kok is an award-winning author, licensed massage therapist, and podcast host. Raised in a small resort town in northern Wisconsin, she spent her childhood helping at her family’s summer resort, where she developed a lifelong love of fishing, wildlife, and storytelling. The people, places, and mysteries of the Northwoods would later inspire her fiction.
Her debut novel, A Grey Resort, launched in 2019 and was honored as the winner of the Romance/Paranormal category at the 2020 American Fiction Awards. The novel became the first book in her A Thousand Years of Crooked Forest series, a blend of suspense, romance, mystery, and paranormal intrigue set in Wisconsin’s Northwoods.
She followed with An Awakening and later completed the trilogy with The Choice, continuing her exploration of small-town secrets, unforgettable characters, and the unexplained.
Wendy earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Grand Valley State University. When she’s not writing, she enjoys connecting with fellow creatives, hosting her podcast, exploring the outdoors, and embracing the mystery and wonder that inspire many of her stories. She is currently working on her next Northwoods-inspired novel.
