The author was born in upstate NY. After a twenty two year career in the U.S. Air Force, he, his wife and their two children settled in San Diego, CA where they currently reside. He has worked as a Physician Assistant, Psychologist, and Director of Navy family service centers. While working on his Ph.D. in clinical psychology he studied psychopathology and was fascinated with the developmental and functional aspects of psychopaths. This interest led him to write "Carter's Cases"
