Tom Bleakley is a trial lawyer specializing in the civil prosecution of high-stakes pharmaceutical cases again Big Pharma, and those experiences form the bases for his writings. His latest novel, Exoneration is Book 2 of the Katie Hornsby series of legal thrillers following Safe Nowhere, Book 1 of the series. Earlier in Tom's career he spent seven years in the pharmaceutical industry and co-authored a two-volume textbook, A Teaching Program in Psychiatry, a beginning course in diagnostic psychiatry, for medical school students. His first novel, Rx for Mass Murder' a fictionalized account of the impact of DES on young men when their mothers were administered the drug during pregnancy, is currently being revised to reflect recent scientific developments. Another of his novels, If I Should Kill, (a revised version of Serenity) describes the tragic impact of a drug company's fraudulent scientific work leading to the marketing of a popular benzodiazepine-type drug that causes users to kill themselves or others. Tom shares his writing time the past five years with litigating on behalf of Detroit public school children in actions seeking adequate funding and improved educational experiences.
