Tim has had complex-partial seizures essentially his entire life.  His parents, who were both school teachers in central-Illinois, encouraged him not to be afraid of failure to try new things. With their encouragement, he received awards for speech, writing.  After the Navy rejected him because of his epilepsy, he looked towards politics.  He was elected a delegate to the Republican National Convention before he was old enough to have voted for a president!  He's worked in government, investments.  When seizures prompted him to return to school, he studied TV, interned at The Young & The Restless, and was a news producer.

His decision to teach English in China when offered the chance wasn't easy because of his patriotism.  The modern and capitalistic China surprised him, making many friends who were equally surprised that he wasn't what rhetoric they'd been fed about Americans!  He taught in three universities and at several middle school institutions in six cities including Changchun, Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou.

His personal faith spiked to see the risks people took to ask him the simplest questions about Christianity in every city he went to.  For the first time in his life, he was excited by the realization that his epilepsy was the "staff" by which God had been directing him to where he could make a difference.

Now living in Atlanta with a wife he met in China and their daughter, he is the creator/producer of a new epilepsy awareness TV series, "Epilepsy Gangster" that debuts on the Inspiration TV Network on Prime Video and Roku in the fall of 2020.
