Tommy Acosta is a certified Master Reflexologist who practices this ancient holistic healing art. When Acosta discovered that Reflexology works just as well on dogs and cats as it does on humans, he embarked on a mission to share his theory through his book Healing Paws Method. Acosta believes Reflexology is the holistic wave of the future; that it's safe, effective and anyone can apply it. Born in New York City, Acosta began his professional career as a journalist for the award-winning weekly newspaper The Bronx Times Reporter, covering hard-news stories and writing editorials. He was the editor of the Chandler Independent in Chandler, Arizona, and the editor of The Sedona Times in Sedona, Arizona. He is also the publisher of Sedona's Best Visitor's Guide, a publication serving the needs of tourists visiting Sedona and northern Arizona. Acosta studied Reflexology and achieved his certificate of mastery under the tutelage of Laura Norman, widely recognized as the nation's foremost Reflexologist. Subsequently, Acosta founded the New Canaan Institute of Reflexology and Holistic Health in Connecticut, teaching others the intricacies of the art. His clients included several famous individuals such as former New York City Congressman Mario Biaggi, fashion designer Eli Tahari and, Eric Butterworth, world-renowned Unity minister, radio personality motivational speaker and, author of Discover the Power Within You. Acosta was also a Reflexology instructor at the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts, one of Arizona's most prestigious holistic health learning centers.
