I began my writing career in high school where my friend Mike was the editor of the school paper. He gave me the opportunity to write a monthly column which I enjoyed. I had a role model in my uncle Joe who wrote an outdoor column for the Minneapolis star. But I needed to make a living so I attended law school and spent most of my adult life as a practicing lawyer and county attorney. Upon graduating from gainful employment, I returned to writing. In deciding to write “The Pemmican Man” I followed the advice given me to write a book that I would like to read. I love reading historical adventure stories like “ Jeremiah Johnson” or “ The Little Big Man” and even such old classics as “ The last of the Mohicans” so my genre was quickly determined. Thus began the adventure of Bart O’Neal in “ The Pemmican Man“ which I hope you enjoy reading as much as I did in writing it. And don’t forget to check back to see if the sequel is available.
