L. Alegra Lee was born in the San Gabriel Valley of Southern California, studying electronics at Mount San Antonio College and Cal Poly Pomona. Afterwards, she spent twenty-five years employed in the aerospace and defense industry. Her career allowed her to travel extensively throughout the United States and United Kingdom, in her capacity as a Field Service Contractor for the United States Navy.
Retiring from the defense industry, Ms. Lee, known as 'Lee,' moved to the Western Slope of Garfield County, in Colorado, with her husband. There, they reinvented themselves from their more urban lifestyle, (yuppie) to a more gentrified lifestyle, (country). For the next decade, Lee worked as a teaching assistant at the local Community College, in the General Education Diploma department. Working with community leaders and educators, volunteering for various outreach and fundraising events for the city where she lives, Lee and her husband eased into Colorado country living.
Her hobbies include; traveling, gardening, sewing, and reading. Lee's enduring love is her husband, Ian, but her endless love is writing. For the last quarter century, she has been creating character driven stories, and hopes to continue doing so, for another twenty-five years.
