Terrell Newby is the author of Ghost of Palmyra High, his first fiction novel, inspired by interviews with former Palmyra High School teachers, residents, and a former school janitor who shared paranormal experiences connected to the school.
His second novel, Dragon Jester, explores a world where humanity’s destruction of the environment, rampant disease, and a complete loss of compassion have pushed Earth to the brink of collapse, forcing its creators into a radical ideological war over how to save it.
Newby is an award-winning mental health documentary producer and director of Hidden Battles: Destigmatizing Mental Illness. He is also the co-founder and owner of HBDMI, a Roku streaming mental health network. A former television news journalist, Newby is an alumnus of Columbia College Chicago and a graduate of the Argosy University Psychology Department. He is also a United States Army Airborne veteran.
In addition to writing and media production, Newby enjoys collecting Red Devil cichlids. His publishing company is LTPL Publishing.
