A bit more about Susan DuMond’s writing

In addition to receiving academic degrees from Bennington College and the University of Oregon (BA and PhD), Susan spent two years studying Creative Writing at Columbia University. That experience was one of the events that culminated in Another Place Called Home. During her New York years while at Columbia, she wrote numerous short stories and found her way into the world of poetry.

Her poems have been published in a variety of publications including EPOS, The Smith, Spring Rain, and Chelsea. “News on an Ordinary Day,” a poem honoring Gabrielle Giffords and her strength following her attack, appeared in a Story Circle Network publication. Most recently, Susan’s work appeared in Jefferson, a magazine published by Jefferson Public Radio.

“Writing is a gift. I am honored to be part of it.”
