Steven Craig is a retired Coast Guard Reserve Captain with over 38 years of active and reserve service. He has extensive Coast Guard disaster experience, having been recalled to active duty 13 times for various incidents, including five recalls for Hurricane Katrina, Hurricane Ike, the Deepwater Horizon oil spill, and the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
He has held various emergency management civilian positions at local, state, federal, county, and state college levels. He holds a Masters degree in Emergency Management and is a lifetime Certified Emergency Manager with the International Association of Emergency Managers. He has taught associated courses and presentations including courses in Pavia, Italy. He has previously written four books including Chronicles of Katrina and the award-winning All Present and Accounted For. He presently lives in Centralia, WA.
His latest book ‘Disaster and Emergency Preparedness Checklist’ was written to immediately assist families and individuals in the event of a disaster and emergency on how to best prepare.
