Robert Reid has lived in and around Syracuse, NY, his whole life. He and his wife, Kris, were married for 33 years and have a daughter, Sarah. Bob was a caregiver for both of his parents and his wife. 

 

He wrote A Journey of Cancer, A Journey of Faith: Our Story and What I Learned in order to: 1. Help him through the grieving process, and 2. To help those who may be experiencing similar circumstances.

 

He has graduate degrees in zoology and worked over 35 years in biological and medical research. 

 

In addition to several professional publications, he was a science columnist for Tiger’s Eye, the official magazine of the Sanchin Ryu Karate Organization where he holds a second-degree black belt.

 

Bob also has written:

Monster Attack, 1959, a reverent parody of 1950s monster movies.

 

Grant Day, a satirical look at life in a biological research department.

 

One screenplay:

Fleet: A True Story, biopic of Moses Fleetwood Walker the first black player in Major League Baseball (1884). Baseball player, social activist and writer, successful businessman, family man, and . . . murderer?
