Author Info

Rachel Bowman is a Registered Nurse (RN) and mother of two daughters. While working as a RN in the NICU, Rachel observed a discrepancy in the support provided to the mother compared to the father of her tiny patients. With so much focus being placed on the infant and mother, especially during the early days, the father can feel forgotten and helpless. These feelings can make it difficult for the father to bond with the infant and increases his risk for developing anxiety and depression. With writing this book, Rachel hopes to reach out to the fathers experiencing the overwhelming NICU journey and let them know that they are not alone.
