R. J. Messinger lives with his wife in Georgia with their dogs and parakeet. They are both interested in Ancient History and Civilizations, Ancient Alien tales, and avid Science Fiction readers. They were both very active in the Society for Creative Anachronisms for many years, and their daughter is still currently active in the SCA. R. J. Messinger has written several articles that have been published in various publications dealing with knifemaking, forge work, Dressage horse riding, and mold making and sculpting. Colony Ship was his first book, and began the exploration and discovery of a fictional ancient human civilization from a far distant galaxy, and their encounter with humans from Earth. The second book in the series continues the story with the eventual terraforming and colonization of Mars, and the subsequent reaction of the people of Earth.
