Betty A. Barr, PhD, is a graduate of Capella University with a doctorate in PK-12 Leadership. She received a Master of Education degree from South Carolina State University, Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Claflin University, and Mid-management certification from Tarleton State University. She is a former university professor at the University of Phoenix and Argosy University, a Federal Grant Peer Reviewer, served on the Killeen Independent School District Education Foundation Board, the Editorial Board for World Journal of Education and taught Mathematics in secondary school, and higher education. Dr. Barr also presented at the American Association of University Professor Conference at the Mayflower Renaissance Hotel, Washington, DC, 2013, the International Conference on Interdisciplinary Research Studies at George Washington University, Washington, DC, 2016. She also served on a discussion panel on Inclusion and Diversity in Higher Education Conference at Texas A&M University Galveston, Texas, April 3, 2017. Areas of expertise and skills are online teaching, adult education, research, educational leadership, curriculum development, scheduling, dissertation mentoring, and Mathematics.

Dr. Betty A. Barr is a highly motivated professional with over thirty years of experience in the field of education. She is a former professor, high school administrator, and mathematics teacher. She also taught a variety of graduate-level courses in the areas of curriculum, management, leadership, education, and delivered online and traditional instruction. She also worked with students and faculty from diverse educational and professional backgrounds. As a retiree, she writes about her family life experiences to share with others and encourage them to follow their dreams in life. She believes this upward movement often begins with a vision, hope, or desire to make a difference. It’s about becoming the person you were meant to be, finding meaning in your journey, and using your progress to lift others up.
