Bruce J. Coleman, Jr. is known as Poetic University Universe in the poetry world. Poetry is the infinity inside of him, and his passion for writing is deeper than the Universe, expanding landing on many creative Utopias. Writing poetry has been Coleman’s lifesaver from his rebellious teenage years. Poetry saved him from living the street life. Poetry sent him on a path of eternal prosperity. Coleman thought the world was his after finishing high school, winning a few poetry contests, and becoming a straight-A student. Joining the Navy right after his creative high sent him on the adventure of his life, traveling the world and growing spiritually, mentally, and culturally. After four years in the Navy returning home, Coleman desired to pick up his love for poetry, but Hurricane Katrina came, and Coleman had to leave his hometown of New Orleans. He landed in Houston, Texas, and decided to stay there and pursue Christian Hip-Hop. After 15 years of writing songs and poetry on the side, Coleman found the poetry community on Instagram during the Coronavirus and started writing poetry seriously. Perhaps at that moment, that’s when Poetic University Universe was born.
