About the Author

Author Info
Phil Januszewski is a keynote speaker, author, and former 20-year public school chemistry and physics teacher who uses positive psychology research, humor, and real-life experience to help hardworking people flourish in a tired and uninspired world.

He is the author of Too Damn Happy: Flourishing in a Tired and Uninspired World, a funny, honest, research-backed guide to creating more happiness, energy, connection, and meaning in everyday life. Drawing from positive psychology, personal development research, two decades in education, and his own wonderfully imperfect life, Phil helps readers discover practical ways to feel less drained, reconnect with what lights them up, strengthen relationships, and intentionally create more of the good stuff.

Phil has been a nationally recognized keynote speaker since 2013, delivering high-energy experiences for educators, leaders, organizations, and other adult givers who spend much of their lives supporting others. His work focuses on happiness, flourishing, resilience, burnout prevention, purpose, relationships, and sustainable well-being.

A former chemistry and physics teacher with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, a master’s degree in teaching leadership, and a certification in positive education from The Flourishing Center, Phil believes we make our greatest impact when we learn how to flourish personally first.

Outside of speaking and writing, Phil is a tattoo-covered husband and dad who loves weightlifting, baking, heavy metal, personal development, and creating everyday adventures with his family. He also once appeared on Netflix’s Nailed It!...proof that enthusiasm and baking ability are definitely not the same thing.

His mission is simple: help more people become less tired, more inspired, and maybe even a little too damn happy.
