Pete Byer is a seeking to be retired lawyer, a freelance writer and a first time author. His book, EXECUTIVE TARGET, was released in May, 2019. EXECUTIVE TARGET is a political satire that takes place in the very near future. The book details two concurrent but unrelated plots to render the president of the United States, a Republican and former governor of New Jersey, powerless. The president, with the aid of his loyal chief of staff and best friend, fights back to save his administration and his reputation.
Byer lives in northern New Jersey. New Jersey readers will recognize many of the locations mentioned in the book.
