PAMELA HARDY-SHEPARD, PhD, MBA, MPH

 

Dr. Pamela Hardy-Shepard, is a Motivational/Keynote Speaker, Author, Researcher, Consultant, Experience Leader, Life Coach, and Professor. She holds a Doctorate of Philosophy in Human Services, specialization in Management of Nonprofits from Capella University. She also earned her Master of Public Health with an emphasis in Maternal and Child Health from San Diego State University and a Master of Business Administration with a Specialization in Marketing from National University. She completed her undergraduate work at San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences in Psychology.

For the last 30 years, Dr. Hardy-Shepard, has worked in numerous health and human services capacities and has a strong background in public health, nonprofits, and business. She formerly worked Associate Dean, she served as a Distinguished Faculty in higher education. She served as the Director of the California Black Infant Health program for the county of San Diego; where she implemented and directed all aspects of a community-based program that supports, facilitates, and promotes African American women of child-bearing ages to receive early and continuous prenatal.  Additionally, she is a military spouse and has served military families as a Navy Ombudsman and served Active Duty Sailors and Marines as a Navy Alcohol facilitator in Dunoon, Scotland.

Dr. Hardy-Shepard’s areas of interest include: military families, domestic violence, culture, education, gender, and race.  Her most recent research, include: Factors related to cognitive, emotional, and behavioral engagement in the online asynchronous classroom.
