Originally from NYC, Martha Cinader is a mother of four and has lived in Greenville, SC since 2009. She hosts The Listen & Be Heard Hour for Readers & Writers, a non-commercial podcast at listenandbeheard.net, and a syndicated radio show on the Pacifica Affiliate Network. When the Body Calls, a collection of poetry and short stories was published by Writers & Readers, Harlem River Press. Publisher’s Weekly called her story/poem 1-800-Yor-Dick “hilarious" included in Dick For A Day, Villard Books, pen name Senator Sin. Catherine Fellows of The Scotsman said of her one-woman storytelling show: “Cinader’s use of language is so seductive … you really don’t want her to stop.” Neil Cooper of The List, called it “a hip, beatnik Sesame Street for grown-ups.” Cinader’s self-produced recording of Living It, was remixed and released internationally on several compilations, including Aphrodisiac, Universal Music France. Now an empty nester, she looks after goats, Muscovy ducks, chickens, a cat and a Great Pyrenees dog, and learns daily lessons about resilient environmental and agricultural practices.
