Marlene Stewart is a fourth-generation Stewart from the Pacific Northwest. Her mother and grandfather told her she owned Mount Rainier, and she believed them. As the youngest child of Suzanne and Clayton Stewart, Marlene grew up alongside her four siblings: Linett, Vicky, Douglas, and Rose- all of whom are dedicated "Good Earth Stewards."  From a young age, Marlene felt a profound connection to the earth, flowers, and water. Her vegetable garden has always been a cornerstone of her homes, showcasing nature's unfiltered beauty. She married young and is now the proud mother of three grown children she adores. Marlene's first career path was a sign painter and muralist, collaborating with her artist mother. One of her earliest and most memorable murals was of Ivan the Gorilla's cage at the World Famous B&I Store. Her first published book, "Date Lines," is a poetic journey that spans four years of introspection following her divorce. her poems often seem to emerge spontaneously, capturing moments too fleeting to write down. Her second book, "Good Earth Stewards," was another heartfelt collaboration with her mother. This children's book radiates hope, compassion, sharing, and togetherness. It is Marlene's joy to spread these beliefs and inspire a new generation of Good Earth Stewards. She hopes readers will share these values with all the children in their lives.
