Hello! I’m Maria Del Pilar Rodriguez, and I’d like to tell you a little about myself. I was born in Cali, Colombia, and I have lived in the United States since 2017. My life has been filled with diverse experiences and passions, and one of the most exciting has been writing the book De los Cuentos a las Cuentas (From Stories to Accounts). Throughout my career, I have worked in areas such as customer service, sales, and financial services. But my true love for theater led me to study at the Community College of Philadelphia, where I earned an associate degree in theater with honors, magna cum laude.
Recently, I have been deeply involved in helping people manage their finances alongside my partner Luis Jimenez. Together, we teach others how to handle their money wisely and achieve their goals. Writing the book De los Cuentos a las Cuentas has been a wonderful adventure. In this book, I combine my passion for stories with my knowledge of financial services to teach children about money management in a fun and educational way. I love seeing how children enjoy themselves while learning important lessons about money.
In addition to my work and writing, I enjoy participating in activities that benefit my community. I collaborate with the Mexican Business Association, Norristown Chamber, Conexión Latina in Montgomery County, and the consulates of Mexico and Colombia. I also participate in other events and activities that celebrate our roots and strengthen the community. I hope you enjoy reading De los Cuentos a las Cuentas as much as I enjoyed writing it.
