Business coach, entrepreneur, and speaker Lois Elrich is full of compassion and empathy, as well as the wisdom she gleaned from her father. She wants to share Some Things to Think About with all those who appreciate new ways of looking at this planet of ours. Lois dispenses inspirational ideas for readers to ponder, mixed with entertaining stories that both amuse and pull at the heart strings.
“My goal is to spark curiosity in people, get them to think from different perspectives, and be open-minded,” explains Lois. “The more you stay curious, the more information you have to make decisions that lead to lasting change.”
Lois is CEO of two successful companies based in Dayton, Ohio—Real Change Business Coaching, Ltd., a firm providing valuable assistance to individuals, teams and leaders, and Solid Blend Technologies, Inc., a water management company supplying solutions for healthcare and other facilities.
A thoughtful listener who asks the right questions to get to the heart of an issue, Lois approaches her clients and customers with a keen intellect. And she excels at problem solving—whether it’s a water remediation issue or an interpersonal one. Both her companies are WBENC certified women’s business enterprises.
An avid reader, Lois also enjoys the outdoors, spending time with family, traveling, and giving back through participation in a variety of charitable and philanthropic activities. Though she’s modest about her success and what she gives to others, Lois is recognized for her accomplishments as an Enterprising Women of the Year Award Winner, Women of Impact Awardee, and one of Ohio’s Most Influential Executives. She’s also interviewed often by the media for her business acumen and pragmatic perspectives.
Married to her high school sweetheart, Lois has three sons. Besides being a hands-on wife and mother, she genuinely enjoys working, which started with her first job as a Santa’s helper. She often talks about how she learned to get out of her own way and highly recommends others take a similar step. “I’m being just who I am meant to be,” she says.
Lois loves popcorn, going to the gym, helping people achieve their goals, and going out to dinner with her husband. “I made a lot of mistakes, especially not speaking up when I should have,” she admits. “I don’t do that anymore.”
On a serious note, she advocates for everyone to believe in themselves, listen to their intuition, and reach for the stars. On the lighter side, she smiles when she says Snoopy is her favorite comic strip character.
