Author Info

Lois Callaway was a busy missionary wife and mother of five, with no modern conveniences. She was living in an isolated tribal village on the mountain ridge forming the Thailand / Laos border. Her days were spent caring for the sick, translating the Scriptures, sharing the good news with those who had never heard it before. She also assisted refugees of communist infiltration to support themselves, by training them to transform their beautiful embroidery crafts into marketable products.

Often late into the night and by the flickering light of small kerosene lamps she poured over the Bible and the writings of Christian authors. Her favorite studies were on prayer and the Holy Spirit. Always, she kept pen and paper handy. From her notes eventually evolved this book, many poems, and other writings.

Her influence lives on in the family, friends and people she trained in a lifestyle of communicating with God through prayer.
