Lloyd Turtinen graduated with a PhD in veterinary microbiology from the University of Kentucky-Lexington. He taught for many years at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, where he was Professor of Biology and co-chair of the Biochemistry/Molecular Biology program. He is author of numerous research publications including studies of several viruses and associated immune responses and Lyme disease. Retired now, he lives in Eau Claire, Wisconsin with his wife Kay, and enjoys hobbies such as bird photography, skiing, and mountain biking.
