Lisa Rena Scott is a writer and content creator, born and raised in Flint, Michigan. Her life journey has been marked by both trauma and triumph. Known for her radiant smile and ability to bring sunshine to any room, Lisa often masked her inner sadness with outward positivity. Her feelings of inadequacy, imposter syndrome, and unworthiness were shaped by her experiences with child sexual abuse, divorce, verbal abuse, and health challenges. However, as she approached her 50th birthday, Lisa embarked on a journey of self-exploration that led to healing and an abundance of joy—now, her inside matches the smile she’s always worn.
After retiring from a 24-year corporate career in marketing, where she worked with companies like the Detroit Pistons and Chevrolet, Lisa now enjoys traveling with her husband John, attending live music events, and catching stage performances. Her greatest joy comes from gathering with their blended family of five adult children for lively game nights.
In her book, “…And That’s Okay - sometimes you just need someone to give you validation,” Lisa’s mission is to empower individuals to embrace and validate their emotions. She offers insightful guidance and practical action steps to foster self-awareness, emotional well-being, and personal growth. Through her work, she aims to help others navigate their feelings and lead healthier, more fulfilling lives.
