I've been in photography for 40 years, starting with a Minolta SRT 101
and finally graduating to the Canon 30D and 50D series. Today I have a
Canon 7D Mark II and an Olympus E-P5. But a few years back I got bitten
by the film bug again and purchased 2 film cameras, a Mamiya 645 and a
Mamiya 645 1000s Medium Format Film Camera, along with a Yashica
Electro 35 GTN and a Nikon F3HP to play with.. I just love it. I started
working in my 20's in the darkroom with the old fashioned 'rock the
tray' developing method. I shot with a camera as big as a car for many
years in the printing industry. There I learned the 'feel' of what my
settings should be. I shoot fully manual, all the time so I really have
fun with my Medium Format Cameras.
I also spend a lot of time of Instagram because I love the
'polaroid' look of the site. I have over 1300 photos there. I belong to
the Northwest Art League and I participate in several online photo
sites, as well as Facebook. I have such a passion for photography, but
with no specific genre, so I am very eclectic and enjoy learning new
techniques and styles.
Today I am shooting for Kroger Marketing and doing some freelance
work. My photos are featured in the Kroger Signature stores in Houston,
Katy, Prosper, Burleson, Fort Worth, Mansfield, River Oaks and many
other cities in Texas. Along with Shreveport and Bossier City,
Louisiana. My children are grown and I have three Granddaughters. I am
looking forward to many years of artistic expression. I've lived in
Texas my whole life!
