Brian Bowler was born in Oxford England on June 21, 1933.  He currently resides in Lancaster, California with his wife of twelve years.  Time and providence spread over two lifetimes and  two hemispheres gave the couple five daughters, two sons, four granddaughters, four grandsons and four great grandsons.

Brian spent his first 37 years in Oxford, England where he received a formative British Education.  Early on he learned to love writing especially short stories and long letters. At the age of ten, he was challenged by his School Headmaster to write an original story. His story won him an Oxford Scholarship for his secondary education. Upon completing his education career opportunities in radio technology took him from England to New Zealand. An exciting career in electronics took him from building ham radios under the stairs as a boy through radio tubes into the technology of the new digitalized world we live in today.  Brian shared his brilliance in short stories and long letters exploring thoughts on history, life experiences, answers to provocative question and the just because it needed to be said stories with all who were willing to read.

Brian met and married Alice in 2009.  Alice is one of the avid readers of Brian's stories and letters, a match made in heaven.  One day in 2017 Brian presented her a short story about his great grandfather.  Upon reading it Alice suggested to Brian that it would make an interesting novel. On November 29, 2020 Brian became a naturalized American Citizen. And that brings us up-to-date and now to his first novel, Let No Dog Bark at the age of 88 after three years writing.  Enjoy your reading journey.
