Laura Burton is the principal designer of Laura Burton Interiors, an Allied Member of the American Society of Interior Designers, and founder of her own hardware line: Finery. She is an avid writer on her Love the Home You’re With blog, and now self-published author of her debut book, Find Your Way Home.
She started her design firm in 2004 when she decided to leave corporate life and pursue her dream of helping people create timeless spaces that bring them joy. She has a bachelor degree from the University of Texas School of Architecture, and has acted as a contractor and interior designer on hundreds of projects, including remodels, new construction, residential, and commercial.
Friends would describe Laura as down to earth and casual (she went to high school in New Mexico and has since lived in Austin, TX), and she values authenticity, both in life and design. She fiercely avoids pretense and is all about practicality and comfort, so if you bump into her around town she is more likely to be wearing sweatpants and tennis shoes rather than heels and fine jewelry. She is on-the-go, creative, and passionate about designing a home that captures a client’s personality; both in style and function.
