Kevin Caldwell's journey with the written word began in 1976, when he first started crafting poetry, songs, and music. Holding a B.A. in English Literature and a PhD in Translation Studies, Kevin's academic prowess beautifully complements his creative expressions.
Having lived in multiple countries in Asia, Kevin and his family's immersion in diverse cultures kindled an appreciation for poetry and religious texts in Urdu and Sanskrit. His exploration into the history of religious text translation by both Muslims and Christians led him to his doctoral work.
Kevin's artistic expression extends to the realm of music, with four original albums – 'My Religion,' 'Bid the Ghosts Come In,' 'The Cow Behind the Barn,' and 'This Time' – available on major streaming platforms including Spotify, Pandora, Apple Music, iTunes, and YouTube. 'The Cow Behind the Barn' (2023) marks Kevin's first venture into the world of published books. In addition to poetry and song lyrics, the book includes essays on art, poetry, music, and the creative nature of being human. The book includes lyrics to selected songs from each of his four albums. Look for it in print and e versions at most book stores (on-line, and the old fashioned "walk in and browse and smell the books" stores as well!).
