Karen is a United States Army veteran and historical fiction author whose work brings the past to life through richly imagined stories and memorable characters. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Workforce Education and Development from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.
Her debut novel, White Gloves, was released in 2020, followed in 2024 by The Emancipation of Hannah Faythe Winslow: A Woman’s Journey in Colonial America. A native Nutmegger, Karen now makes her home in Massachusetts with her husband, David, and their two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Bella Marie and Sadie Louise.
Through her fiction, she invites readers to journey into earlier times and discover the lives, choices, and quiet courage that helped shape history.
