Karen joined the Army right after high school, which led her to a career with the Department of Defense. She stated that the most exciting thing she had while working for the DOD was the undercover work, but that's another story.
After working for the DOD, she returned to the private sector, working for non-profits. She enjoys skydiving, rappelling, and pushing the envelope.
Her comment about writing is that there's always a comma.
She lives in Massachsetts with her best friend, her husband, David, and two Cavalier King Charles spaniels, Bella Marie and Sadie Louise.
