Julie Powell is a former reporter and editor for the Fort
Worth Star-Telegram and Seattle Times and holds Masters degrees in Journalism
and African American studies from Boston University and a B.A. in Classics from
Scripps College. She currently lives and works in the Dallas area with her
three dachshunds.
