Judy McCandless grew up 4 blocks from the sea in Massachusetts with a passion for travel. At 24 she drove to California for adventure. She stayed to marry and advance a career from health care administration up to weapon systems contract management. For a career break from stress, she left Silicon Valley to crisscross the Pacific Ocean with her husband in their small sailboat.
She has over 20,000 miles of ocean sailing experience and thirty years of sobriety. She is currently retired from business, lives in Williamsburg, VA, and still travels widely.
