Judith Lydia Mercure started
writing during her childhood summers on a family homestead in Frenchtown, Montana.
By the time she was 22, she was a keen traveler fascinated by the diversity of
our planet. She continued writing at desks in a Buddhist temple in rural Japan,
in a canal house in Leiden, the Netherlands, in guesthouses in Bangkok, Thailand
and in Victorian cottages in Australia. Now a full-time writer living between Sydney, Australia and
Gig Harbor, WA, USA, Judith Lydia’s stories are drawn from her love of our
planet’s distinctive wildlife and her experience as a
teacher, travel journalist, magazine editor, publisher, translator, and science
marketing professional.
