James “Jim” Lopolito believes hospitality is a mindset of support and awareness.  Since he was very young, he has been immersed in hospitality.  Jim grew up in the Bronx, NY, and much of his experience is attributed to his work in New York City.  Jim is an efficient and logical performance-driven leader that saw concerns in procedures where he worked early in his career, which influenced him to create the Expense Loss method.

Jim has over forty articles on various subjects covering hospitality operations, published on LinkedIn, hospitality.net, ShiftPixy, Poster, and other websites.  Jim lives in New York with his family, and his career spans fifty years with companies like The River Café, Brussels Restaurant, Tavern on the Green, Weill Cornell University, Larchmont Shore Club, Rye Golf Club, The Country Club at Otterkill, and many others, with achievements of Certified Club Manager “CCM” (CMAA), and Certified Executive Chef “CEC” (ACF) credentials during his tenure.

Jim's experience additionally includes management of the historic Capitol Theatre overseeing events and productions, and working with some of the top-recognized talents in the industry.  This list of talent includes Bob Dylan, Paul Simon & Art Garfunkel, Katy Perry, Buddy Guy, Robert Randolph, Toots and the Maytals, Three Dog Night, Rob Thomas, and others.

Jim founded his company, Lopolito Hospitality Consultants, Corp., in 2018, and his expertise provides solutions to private clubs, restaurants, caterers, hotels, and the theater industry.  Jim has evolved his company into a premier hospitality consulting business and regularly travels around the country assisting organizations.
