Jessica Mavromatis is an author–illustrator who finds inspiration in the everyday wonders that often buzz right past us—sometimes quite literally. A former graphic designer turned children’s book creator, Jessica has always loved bringing playful ideas to life through art and storytelling.
When she isn’t dreaming up new characters or tinkering with illustrations at her kitchen table, you’ll likely find her outdoors soaking up fresh air, being active, or cheering her daughter’s from the sidelines. She’s a mom of two girls, a lover of cozy moments, and a lifelong fan of anything that sparks curiosity and laughter.
The Fly That Won’t Die grew out of Jessica’s fascination with those stubborn house flies that seem to survive against all odds—and from her belief that even the tiniest creatures can carry big personality. This is her debut picture book, created with equal parts imagination, persistence, and joy.
