Jim Redeker is a practicing lawyer in Philadelphia, representing employers in in connection with labor unions. Tears, Cheers and Jeers is his third published work of fiction and second full length novel. In 2013 he published Aunt Gert, Crazy Eddie and Other Creatures, a collection of short stories about a preacher's kid growing up in the mid-west. In 2016, he published Animus in Philly, a thriller about a labor lawyer who gets crossways between a murderous employer and a thug labor leader. Jim, the son of a minister, was born in Primghar, Iowa, moved to Spring Lake and spent his formative years in Pella, Iowa. He has a Bachelor's degree from the Central University of Iowa, a Masters degree from the University of Arkansas and a law degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He has been married to his wife, Nancy since 1965. They have three children. The eldest is a free-lance artist and publicist, his son is a rancher in Texas who also works for a Trust Company managing ranches for beneficiaries. His youngest is an anthropologist and professor at Arizona State University. His eldest daughter and grandchildren contributed artwork to Tears.
