Dr. James Hill is a retired university professor and former political aide and consultant. He worked in both the U.S. Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives before entering the academic world and working on state and national political campaigns. He has served as a city and state commissioner and has been a researcher and speaker on Great Lakes issues. Dr. Hill holds a B.A. and Ph.D. from Michigan State University, a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, and an M.P.A. from the Kennedy School at Harvard University. He currently resides in Geneva, Illinois,
