Ian Tonks was born and raised in the United Kingdom and moved to the United States in 1987 to work in coaching and youth sports education. It was a leap of faith that not only shaped his career but also changed his life in the most profound way: it’s how he met his wife, Januaria, a Rio de Janeiro native, on a blind date. (Fun fact: on their first scheduled date, Januaria sent her best friend instead to vet him—fortunately, he passed the test!)
Over the years, Ian and his family have called San Francisco, the Coachella Valley, and Orange County home. In the summer of 2023, they settled in Southern Orange County, where they are excited to establish lasting roots and continue growing together as a family. Ian and Januaria are proud parents to Sophie, a student at JSerra Catholic High School in San Juan Capistrano. Sophie’s deep faith and boundless love inspire Ian to strive each day to be a better husband, father, and human being.
When Ian isn’t working as a business coach, consultant, and facilitator, he loves diving into new hobbies and embarking on fresh adventures. He’s enthusiastic about fitness, golf, travel, and spending time with his family.
