Fred Dawson is a writer, musician, businessman, speaker, community leader and family man. This is his third book in the series "Pearls: Women Who Radiate Success." He is the executive vice president of Bassett, Dawson & Foy, Inc. With more than 30 years of wealth management experience, he is a trusted advisor to many successful individuals. His focus, however, is supporting women in their financial pursuits. In 2002, he started the '60s and '70s classic rock band Club Phred, which has earned numerous awards since its first public performance in 2004,and more than $5 million for charitable institutions. Fred is also an active member of the Newark Morning Rotary, and financially supports numerous nonprofits. The Fresh Start Scholarship Foundation is a special nonprofit he selected to receive all the proceeds from the sales of his "Pearls" book series. Fresh Start awards annual scholarships to adult women based on need, academic record and potential for success. Fred has performed with the likes of Micky Dolenz (of The Monkees) Spencer Davis (Spencer Davis Group), drummer Liberty Devito and sax player Mark Rivera (both of the Billy Joel band), Mark Farner (former Grand Funk Railroad legend), Felix Cavaliere (The Rascals), and The Late Show with David Letterman Horns. He realized his lifelong dream when he performed in two concerts with his sax hero, Boots Randolph, at the Grand Opera House in Wilmington, Delaware. Fred's family includes his wife Louise, two adult sons, and five grandchildren. In 1999, he and Louise built their dream home in Hockessin, Delaware.
