Author Info

Katarina is a nonfiction author who writes from the heart—with humor, honesty, and a willingness to say the things most people gloss over. Her work centers on the complexities of family, the impact of loss, and the messy, nonlinear path of discovering who you are after life changes you in ways you never asked for.

Her first book, Frances, chronicles the relationship she shared with her mother and the emotional aftermath of her mother’s passing from liver cancer. The book also lifts the curtain on extended family dynamics and the unexpected ways grief rearranges the pieces of your life.

Her second memoir, Frances’s Daughter, continues her story as she rebuilds herself through sobriety, spiritual growth, evolving identity, and the challenging truth of family estrangement. Through it all, she writes with the same voice she lives with—witty, sharp, compassionate, and unafraid of the dark corners.

Beyond the page, Katarina is someone who values authenticity above all else. She is continuously exploring what it means to create a life on her own terms—emotionally, spiritually, and personally. When she’s not writing, she’s learning, healing, laughing at the absurdity of life, and finding connection in the places she never expected.

She writes for anyone who has lived through loss, questioned their identity, or tried to build a life from the ashes of what used to be—and for anyone who appreciates a story told with equal parts truth, heart, and a little necessary sarcasm.
