FCSN (Friends of Children with Special Needs) is a 501C non-profit organization based in the Bay Area of Northern California. FCSN was founded in 1996 by a small group of Chinese American families. Their mission is to help children and adults with special needs and their families. In year 2000, they embarked on their Dream Project to build a community center and a community for people with special needs. Today, they have over 100 staff, and operate two community centers in San Jose and Fremont. FCSN has over 1000 family members and serves several hundreds special needs individuals; and their services encompass all aspect of their clients' lives such as living, learning, education, job training, transportation, and recreational activities.
