Eric Preiss was born in Cleveland, Ohio but raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. His young parents and their children grew up together, in the dimly light corners of the brightest city in the world, under a canopy of neon glass. He desired to learn and understand how everything worked, but was inhibited at times by an irrational fear. The anxiety that comes from not understanding something the very first time, that he might not understand and need more time to learn and be left behind.
The result of not understanding a few foundational things completely, is understanding many things incompletely, uncertainly and with doubt. Incompletely understanding certain foundational principles creates an initial handicap, further compounded when built upon. Learning progresses over time on an individual’s timeframe to understand what is necessary for them to understand to achieve their goals. Given the current options we have over our own time, we can remove doubt, become certain, and love learning over the context of our lifetimes.
Eric is a father, who believes that simple explanations are the duty we owe to the next generations, our future. Paying it forward, by explaining it best how we came to know what we know, and teach others to know for themselves.
He is currently 35 years into his career in the diverse economy landscaped in a desert in Las Vegas. His duties in the service industry throughout those years sent him through the basements and into the boardrooms, from the general ledgers to the distributed blockchains, resulting in Hollywood entertainment productions and international marketing campaigns.
In all it’s diversity the universe consists of commonality. The few or the one within the many, the simple explanations that are the basis of all the other explanations. With a solid foundation to learn with and access to information, anything is possible to the future. It begins with simple explanations from past experience to create what the future will be.
Eric is currently teaching, writing and publishing philosophy for every age from 5 to 500 years old. Currently the 5 book series Philosophy For Five Year Olds book 1 on Metaphysics is available wherever books are sold. The other books in the series are currently on pre-order status, the series includes:
Book 1-Metaphysics (It is what it is.)
Book 2-Epistemology (What is it and how do we know it?)
Book 3-Ethics (Now what do I do about it?)
Book 4-Politics (What do others do?)
Book 5-Esthetics (How you feel about 1-4.)
Philosophy is practical. A philosophy is an operating system that directs our human nature to guide our actions. With a proper practical philosophy for living on earth, a proper understanding of what constitutes knowledge, we can make reasoned choices and build values that benefit our world through shared abundance, by removing scarcity, methodically and completely through concepts created and shared for eternity.
"Explain it to me like I'm 5 years old". -Said by everyone at some point.
"I kind of know but I'm not really sure." -Said by everyone at some point.
Here is my simple explanation for your consideration.
It begins where all stories begin, the beginning.
The Metaphysics.
